A Hawaiian family has claimed the Guinness World Record for the heaviest Avocado.
The Pokini family grew the behemoth 2.55kg avo in December last year which has now been officially recognised as the world’s biggest.

But rather than sell the world record avocado and use the profits to get into the Sydney property market, the Pokini family used the ginormous avo to make an even bigger guacamole.

“This avo was about the size of my 12-year-old son’s head” said Juliane Pokini “It fed a lot of people. We even gave some away.”

The avocado came from the family’s 10 year old avocado tree, which they will be checking again this December for even more massive avocados.
