Fantastic news for the western Sydney community as the writer “Bina Bhattacharya” written the story of Sydney’s west that is now opening in Sydney’s film festival. According to the details, the film spans many migrant communities, voices, and languages, including Tagalog, Kurdish, Spanish, and Cantonese, it was never intended to be the definitive text of Western Sydney.
The story is about the importance of family growing out-west. It is deeply personal and hoping for a better life and this movie is all about 2.1 million Australians staying in western Sydney.
The upcoming anthology feature film “Here Out West” about the intersecting lives of immigrant communities in Western Sydney, produced by Sheila Jayadev (Ali’s Wedding) with Blake Ayshford (Mystery Road) Lyn Norfor (Undertow) and S. Shakthidharan (Counting and Cracking) as Executive Producers. ‘Here Out West’ is scheduled for release soon.
