Tough Times for Renters

Protections for renters during the Coronavirus pandemic are ending around the country, and it’s leaving some Australians struggling to keep their heads above water.

As moratoriums on evictions and rent reduction schemes come to a close, the slow economic recovery and ongoing safety restrictions mean many people are still working less than last year, and this is forcing some to make a choice between paying their rent and affording food.

To get an idea of what options renters have, Daniel and Rob spoke to Peter Baldwin on NEXT Drive. He’s had a career in property management spanning 30 years, so he’s seen it all, and you can hear the whole interview below:
