The AFL are moving a slice of Melbourne to Brisbane for the AFL Grand Final next weekend.
The AFL final is taking place in Brisbane in a historic move to Brisbane due to the global pandemic. Horticulturalists, grass curators and travel experts have banded together to bring a slice of the hallowed turf to Brisbane from the G.
It is rumoured to be costing around $100,000 to make the move. The grass will be laid a few days before the final, so the first ball can be bounced on original home turf.
Some are saying it’s a great, sentimental move for the code but Not all AFL fans are onboard with the decision though, with many calling it a waste of money.
Today, Haylee spoke to Duncan who phoned in with his opinion.
