Newtown Festival Set to be Red Hot with Murray Wiggle Appearance

If you love local live music, bevvies and fashion stalls to gear up for Summer, then Newtown Festival will be your jam. On November 10th, the Camperdown Memorial Park will be buzzing with over 40,000 locals and visitors soaking up the good vibes.

The festival is quintessentially Sydney, being in it’s 41st year. Organiser and CEO of the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, Liz Yeo, told Cam and Danes that “it’s really owned by this community…and it manages to preserve a beautiful vibe.”

As well as running the festival, the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre works to support people in our community affected by homelessness, social isolation, domestic or family violence and people with a mental illness.

The $5 donations collected upon entry to the festival go towards supporting the community moving forward. So get down this November to bask in this community event and discover some new Sydney bands.

Cam and Danes got all the Red Wiggle goss from organiser of the festival and CEO of the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, Liz Yeo.
