This is what dreams are made of.
Everyone’s crush in the early 2000s, Hillary Duff, has confirmed via Instagram that the original cast members who played Lizzy McGuire’s family in the original Disney series are all returning for the rebooted series.
Robert Carradine, Hallie Todd and Jake Thomas played Lizzie’s father, mother and brother on the show for three years will all be back for the rebooted series which was confirmed earlier this year as one of the exclusive titles that would be coming to Disney+.
Lizzie McGuire last graced our screens way back in 2004. It only spanned two seasons, a total of just 65 episodes, and a film.
Lizzie is fondly remembered as the original Disney leading lady, before the likes Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, but her time was cut short when negations between Duff and Disney for more Lizzy fell apart.
But for now at least, it appears they are back on speaking terms and the new series will follow Lizzy as she navigates her 30s.
There has still been no confirmation if Lizzy will be reunited with her equally beloved side kicks and best friends Gordo and Miranda, played by Adam Lamberg and Lalaine respectively, but there’s still time.
