Blacktown City Council are trialling a new and innovative way to keep their roads cool, with a method of spraying the roads with a CoolSeal coating, helping to significantly reduce temperatures up to eleven degrees cooler in the coming summer months.
Blacktown City mayor Tony Bleasdale stated the method was a positive step in combating the rise of urban heat.

“Blacktown City and Western Sydney consistently record higher summer temperatures than the average for metropolitan Sydney, so it is crucial we look at ways to reduce the urban heat impact and improve quality of life in our City.” said the mayor.
This is such a good idea. Well done Blacktown council.
