Over the weekend, I was diagnosed with a recurring, severe and incurable case of festival envy. The cause of this condition was confirmed by my GP to be related to the Glastonbury Festival. Upon further consultation, my GP narrowed the cause of my festival envy down to Glastonbury 2020’s first artist announcement…the incredible Diana Ross who is taking on the Legends slot on the Pyramid stage.
I’ve been advised that there is only one cure and it’s expensive; a trip to the UK in June 2020. I’m honestly tempted to max out my credit card and splurge on the trip. In 2020, Glastonbury will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. Announcing Diana Ross as its first act to appear on the Legends slot on the Pyramid stage is the perfect way to commemorate Glastonbury’s rich history and ongoing relevance. Previous artists to appear on the stage include our very own Kylie Minogue, Jay-Z and Janet Jackson.
Will 2020 finally be the year that I cure my festival envy once and for all and head to Glastonbury 2020? Only time will tell!
