GWS Star Shane Mumford Retires

The big ruckman had finally called time on his career, after notching up 216 AFL games spanning across Geelong, Sydney and GWS.

Having previous retired due to on going injuries in 2017 at GWS, Mumford was recruited from a coaching role at the club to return for another four years of footy.

The aggressive ruckman, known for his combative approach to the game will walk away as one of the games best in the position. The 35 year-old who was pick 57 in the 2008 rookie draft, won a premiership with the Sydney Swans in 2012.
