Cigarettes at the chemist

The Australian government has announced a plan to make buying cigaretts a lot harder in the future. They are hoping to do this by 2025 as they are aiming to reduce the number of people smoking by 10 per cent.

The Government will aim to do this by limiting the number of places that will sell tobacco, at the moment nicotine-based products can be bought from bottle shops, supermarkets, and tobacconists. However, they are not saying that in order to buy the product you will need to get a prescription from your GP and then proceed to a pharmacy to buy them.

This comes as a way to deter people from smoking. It also occurs after the government has stopped the selling of some vape style products.
